About

Welcome! My mission is to empower people to create the lives they want- by design.

For almost a dozen years, I practiced holistic medicine after graduating with a doctorate in naturopathic medicine from Bastyr University. For a couple of years I was the Director of Clinical Support and Education for an international company that specializes in treating stress related disorders. Ironically, I wound up stressed out, and I had lost some of my passion for what I was doing. After a great deal of soul-searching, I quit, unsure of whether I would even return to private practice. During my sabbatical, I hiked, biked, played saxophone, practiced yoga, danced, wrote, traveled, spent time with the people and animals I love, and worked on a documentary film. As I stepped back and observed myself, I was intrigued and somewhat frustrated by the segregation of my interests. I had devoted much of my free time to artistic, creative and humanistic endeavors, much of my education and career to science, and yet the two sides of my life were lined up against two opposing walls like boys and girls at a middle school dance. One day I had an epiphany. To truly embrace my calling as a health professional and bring the best of myself to the people I help, I needed to stop trying to fit into titles or expectations that felt a little too snug. I needed to stretch. I needed to create a new paradigm. I needed to nudge my passion for creativity, expression, and exploration to mingle with my education and skills in health and wellness.

Now I’m thrilled to be practicing again, bringing together science and art and integrating mind body therapies. I help people support the health of their bodies and minds while creating the lives they want.

Oh, and I’m very much enjoying the dance.
